Sunset on Goose Creek Trail within Lost Creek Wilderness. The overcast sky quite literally cracked open just as the sun began to dip below the mountains, pouring out rich colors and casting a purplish hue on the gray and orange rocks surrounding our campsite.

Not the smartest of settings, as I should have stopped down to f/5.6 or so and dealt with a slower shutter speed. This shot was very hard to get, however, and I tried several different exposures to capture the colors of the rocks without completely blowing out the sky. I wish I had been closer to the edge of the large boulder we were on (foreground; about 1/3 of the way up) so that I could fill the frame with the mountains in the background.
